I usually have a craving for a croissant or scone first thing in the morning with my cup of coffee. Fortunately it takes only a few minutes to whip up. (The scones NOT the croissant - I ain't making that!).
There are so many different recipes out there. Lemonade scones, soda water scones, scones with buttermilk…you name it! Everyone has their own tried and true recipe.
I only decided to add Greek yogurt because it had been sitting in the fridge for the last few days. The final results were moist, fluffy, delicious scones. The kids loved them!
I simply used plain leftover plain Greek Yogurt such as this.
I have got to say, they were one of the best batch of scones I’ve made! Of course you don't have to put dates in them. I just find they are a great natural sweetener, so no jam required on my scones...well, except for my husband's.
